Eater Austin – How Austin Restaurants Are Helping Hospital Workers and First Responders

Basil Fried Chicken Sandwich Tea Haus

Honored to be mentioned in Eater Austin during the COVID-19 pandemic. During this time, Haus Restaurant Group which includes the Tea Haus brand, 101 as well as Me So Poke decided to change our goal to breaking even and focus on helping out our local communities (North Austin, Mueller, Round Rock, Cedar Park, Riverplace, Pflugerville) and our first responders in their time of need.

It is our belief that what makes life rich and worthwhile is building up a neighborhood where people have the opportunity to share ideas, muscle, creativity and food! During these extremely challenging and uncertain times we feel it is our duty to support those who are placed at the highest risk. Hospital workers and fire fighters are most certainly in this group and we are honored to chip in.

In March and April we have partnered with numerous amazing organizations such as ATXHospitalmeals, Ascend & Hundredforhospitality to provide over 500 Haus chicken sandwiches & chicken curry rice bowls! It was tough to pull off with a skeleton crew, but well worth it.

We wish everyone good health and will brave this new world together.
